A busy Summer is coming to an end with the start of school right around the corner.  Plans for a car wash did not fully materialize, but some our H.S. Roses participated in a car Wash to benefit FPHS on 8/22.  Good job girls!

      Our Asst Chief Rose, Chief Roses Counselor, and the DGK attended the Running of the Silver Rose ceremony at St Mary of Sorrows Church in Fairfax.  The Squires and Roses from several Councils participated in the presentation, brief history, and procession of the Silver Rose at the 9:15 a.m. Aug 15^th 2009 mass.  The Squire Roses in attendance, presented white roses to the Blessed Virgin under her title of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Patroness of the Americas.  The Silver Rose made its journey from Canada through the United States on its way back to Monterey, Mexico.

     The girls will serve as Teen Volunteers in various capacities during this month’s Holy Family Fun Festival on Sep 11-12.  The Roses are also planning on having a Bake Sale in conjunction with the Sep KofC sub sale weekend.

      During our Sep meeting we will have Officer Elections.  It is important that everyone please try to attend on Sep 20 at 2pm so that we will have enough for quorum to vote.  Note the change in Sep meeting date due to the Holy Family Fun Festival.
